Frequently asked questions

What is CanPrev Inno-Cal-Mag Advanced and what does it do?

It's an Albion mineral complex with 200mg calcium and 100mg chelated magnesium (a 2:1 ratio) per softgel, plus zinc, boron, phosphorus, vitamin C, vitamin D3 and vitamin K2. It helps in the development and maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth and connective tissue formation, helps maintain proper muscle function, and, as part of a healthy diet, may help prevent bone loss/osteoporosis.

How do I take it?

Adults take two (2) softgels two (2) times per day with meals, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner. Space a few hours apart from other medications or natural health products.

What sizes are available?

CanPrev Inno-Cal-Mag Advanced comes in a 120 softgel bottle (a 30-day supply at 4 softgels per day) and a 240 softgel bottle (a 60-day supply).

Why does the formula use ascorbate, dibasic phosphate and Albion di-calcium malate for calcium, instead of plain calcium carbonate?

CanPrev blends three calcium sources, including Albion-chelated di-calcium malate, alongside Albion-chelated magnesium, which is why the formula is built on this specific mineral combination rather than a single plain calcium salt.

Why does this formula include zinc, boron and phosphorus alongside calcium and magnesium?

These nutrients round out the mineral complex - phosphorus works with calcium in its absorption and use, while zinc and boron support the overall formula, giving a more complete nutrient profile than a plain calcium-magnesium supplement.

What do vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 do in this formula?

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7, K2VITAL) are included to assist in further calcium absorption and distribution.

Who should use caution, or not use it?

As with any natural health product, consult a health care practitioner before use, especially if you are taking any medication including blood thinners. Do not use if the safety seal is broken. Some people may experience diarrhea. Keep out of reach of children.
